Window Glazing Gasket Question

I noticed that some of the glazing gaskets around two of my windows are coming detached. The west Texas sun will do that I suppose.

Question: Do I just pull them off, clean, and reinstall,or do I need to put new gaskets in?

Due to the enormous interest in this post, my follow up question is: Anyone have a good source or window gaskets?

Hi Tim, Did you ever find a good glazing vendor? My sliding windows have a latch that fits over the edge of the glass. under the latch is a strip of U-shaped rubber. Is that what you are calling "glazing"? I'm looking for some replacements.

Thanks,
Jeff

Butyl tape from the automotive industry, get 1/4 or 3/8 and you never have to worry.
I have redone all my windows..........why take a chance. Those factory gaskets are very poor quality.
