Window Opener Stripping - Removal and Repaid

Helllo. A 2018 Jayco Melborne 24L here. The frameless windows open using this mechanism.

The knob which turns the mechanism spins so I assume something is stripped. I can't determine how to remove the mechanism as the attachments appear to be rivets not screws. I hesitate to drill them out unless that is the only way to disassemble. Anyone else had this issue and did a repair?

I think you're better off just ordering a new mechanism, should be a Lippert Window.

Check out pellandent.com, you can get a knob or mechanism. Looking at the picture on the site, there might be a screw holding the knob on the stem. Most likely the plastic knob has stripped and just needs replaced. Amazon has them also.

Thank you I'll check that out. The knob does have a screw but it doesn't actually allow removal of the knob. If I can find the replacement mechanism, it appears that it is riveted to the window frame and will have to be drilled out. Bad design for it to be attached with rivets rather that screws, but that appears to be the case.
