Window Screen

Just picked up our Redhawk. The back window (emergency window) doesn't have a screen. (didn't notice until I got home) My last TT had a screen on it, even though it was an emergency window. Before I call the dealer, does anyone know it should have a screen?

We picked up our 2017 Greyhawk 31fs last August and it also does not have a screen on the emergency window at the back. We would like to have one if anyone has more info.

My 2016 Redhawk 29XK has a screen on the emergency window. Maybe they quit putting them on the 2017 models.

On our 2015/2016 Seneca 37TS, it came without a screen on the emergency exit back window. The dealer's montra was that it should not be opened and might fall out if allowed to be left open.

We experimented and found you have to go pass 45 degrees out to even begin to come loose or fall. Installed screen on double back tape around inside of frame and attached screen with Velcro on it. We use a wooden prop about 8 inches long to hold window open with pressure against that with small shock or elastic straps.

We never take the idea of it falling out for granted and always handle with care, but it does allow a nice air flow. We take total responsibility for our actions and never live like a "Snowflake". Our life, our decisions.

My emergency window is right next to my bed. My bed is about a foot or so away from the window. If mine came without a screen for it, I'd ask about it. In some way, somehow..it has to be some kind of liability issue with kids and the bed being that close. Just seems too dangerous for me. The windows aren't that hard to figure out, especially for inquisitive minds. I mean, how much can a screen cost for that window?

2012 Greyhawk 31DS - no screen. I made my own setup and prop rod to hold the window open.
