Windows

We recently purchased an '09 Jayco Melbourne 29C. All of the windows have the day/night shades on them, which leads me to two questions:
1. Can these windows be opened for ventilation? If it's nice outside, I don't want to run the a/c all the time!
2. If the windows can be opened, how in the heck do I unhook those day/night shades to raise them up out of the way?

Thank you!

Congratulations on the Melbourne and welcome to the forum.

Hopefully someone can help with your shade question. My shades don't latch.

The window should be able to be opened.

Just push them up from the bottom bar, or the middle bar. They're a friction type shade. The cords going through them on the sides is what keeps them where you want them to stay. Tension on the cords is adjustable at the buttons screwed to the wall, under the window.
