Winterize tip

We had our field service tech out to the house today to do some warranty work on the coach. He asked us about our efforts our first year of winterizing and pointed out something that we had missed. in short we have a black tank flush valve. He said it's important to always put a few short burst of air through that connection to make sure that there's no residual water in that washer unit.

This is something that I do not remember reading in the manual for our unit and the steps to winterize.

After reading your post I went out and blew some air through our black tank flush valve!! Thanks for the tip. I also didn't see anything about this when I was winterizing our 29mv Greyhawk. Thanks again for sharing.

I would guess anything done to blow waster from the ringer would serve the idea of eliminating something that might freeze.

Good tip. Thanks. And after using my blow-out fitting on the black tank flush connection, I will definitely wipe the threaded end of it with bleach to avoid any possible cross contamination. After all, I keep a separate water hose for flushing the black tank.
