Winterizing
Can’t get antifreeze to enter lines for winterizing. Valves set to two and four. Sanitize/winterize. Set valves for water heater bypass and turned on pump. It won’t siphon antifreeze to fill lines. Any ideas?

RV King,
I responded to your post under the JOF poll, but again, did you reverse the filter at the business end of the water inlet? You have to take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the small filter out and reverse it, then it should siphon for you.

Check for a "domed" screen inside the booster connection... I'd it's the pop it out and invert the cone. There's a check valve behind it and the comme will depress the switch and open it

Yes, that's the one. It has to point inward to siphon. What make/model to you have?

Check out this link... https://visitedstatesmap.com/
Then go to User CP, down to Edit Signature in the left nav bar, then paste the map.

Yes...I know you already got it but just saw your question. By the way, don't forget to flip it back (dome pointing out) when you're done or you won't be able to por water in come spring.

RVKing,
Somewhere on this site, one of the Senior Members has a 10-12 page, step-by-step document, with pictures, on winterizing Jayco motorhomes. It is a great document to have, especially so you don't forget anything like making sure the hot water heater is bypassed, and the house water filter is pulled, and you don't forget to put some antifreeze through the outside shower, toilet, and ice maker. I winterized my 29MV today, but I had blown the lines out several weeks ago. It took 2 gallons and about 30 minutes of my time. Fortunately the temperature hit 71 degrees today so I wasn't rushing to get it done.

I was having the same issue today. After blowing out the lines with air, no luck with the anti-freeze siphon. A quick check on this site and I was able to complete the task with this info. Thanks!

Great write up. Thanks for posting
Even though I have a different rig and use way more fluid this provides many of the key points and is a helpful reminder.
I just pulled my unit out and dewinterized for a three day run to Virginia. Weather was great until I got back to Vermont Sunday and it got down to 10 while I was winterizing. At least the inside of the unit was warm.
One thing I do as my unit takes 4 gallons to winterize is I fill up a 5 gallon water jug with antifreeze and put this on a ladder. This allows me to run the antifreeze everywhere inside the unit including the washer. I dont have to run out side to check and change the jug. I start with the outside shower so I know the pump is working.
Thanks again for the information
