Winterizing LiFePO4

I have heard conflicting tips for how to best winterize LiFePO4 batteries. After a great first season out of our 2x Rolls 100Ah connected to 380W solar (2x 190W panels) we are ready to pack up our 2021 Greyhawk 27U for the winter. If anyone is considering doing this, DO IT-- not cheap, but we went over a month without plugging over our Alaska summer.

We store it in a remote lot outside under a cover, so I was thinking of removing the two LiFePO4 batteries and storing in our heated garage with a monthly pep up via our NOCO Genius10. However, I've read it's better to store LiFePO4 batteries with NO charge. And yet a third friend, a EE who builds solar systems for dry cabins, sniffs at removing the batteries from the rig at all, suggesting it's okay for them to live through an Anchorage winter in the cold.

Who's right?

Per Renogy my 100 amp Lithium should be stored at about 45% full charge. Based on that I turned off my solar input and ran it down with a combo of lights and fans to 45%. I plan to bring it in over the winter as some websites suggest freezing could cause long term damage. Other sites say freezing is no problem.

All sites suggest that charging below 32 degrees will cause damage to an unheated battery so turning off/disconnecting your solar is a must.

At a show a week ago a Battleborn employee told me freezing was not a problem. That being said, I stored mine inside last winter and will do the same this year. Takes little time to remove them.
