Would like more battery power

What would you do to get more lasting power. Get two 12 va batteries in parallel, or two 6 v Batteries in series. Thanks Stan

It's just amp-hours. One is not better than the other. That being said let's look at the real world. Most RV 12V batteries are a compromise between true "deep cycle" and marine "starting" batteries. The 6V golf cart batteries are more of a true "deep cycle" battery.

Here is a wealth of information to peruse:

Two TROJAN 6VDC GOLF CART deep cycle Batteries will produce 225AHs and will provide 12VDC @ 25amps for about 7.45 hours.

Two TROJAN 12VDC 27TMH GP27 deep cycle Batteries will produce 210AHs and will provide 12VDC @ 25amps for about 6 hours.

You can pick and chose many different deep cycle batteries to suit your camping requirement but the bigger thing to do is have the capability of recharging the batteries in a 2-3 hour generator run time when allowed to run generators at the camp sites.

Most of the camp sites we go to all have generator run time restrictions of 8AM-10AM in the mornings and then again from 4:30PM -7:30PM in the early evening. Doesn't give you much time to re-charge your batteries back up to the required 90% charge state so you can get the specified hours of operations before they drain down on you again the next night.

Smart-mode converter/chargers, interior lights converted to LED boards, use of small wattage PSW Inverters to run your home entertainment items, all go hand-in-hand with adding more batteries and using a 2KW Honda type small generator with the trailer shore power cable connected directly to it with a RV30A-15A "dogbone" type adapter to re-charge batteries in the short time allowed to run generators.
