Leaking fresh water tank

Hello, all. We just bought a 2005 Starcraft 2406 and brought it home last night. I'm sure I will have other questions, but two come to mind right away:

1) The fresh water tank (which on these units us under the camper body) has a small leak. It appears to be leaking down from the slot on top where a frame cross bar goes through. How difficult are these to remove and patch, and has anyone done this?

2) What material is the roof on these campers? It appears to be a thin fiberglass skin on insulation and then the underlayment. Some of the skin is loose, and all of it is dry. What's the best solution for sealing/waxing/otherwise fixing up the roof?

Thanks!

If the leak is small, and you cannot easily locate it, you could try fix a leak (used in plumbing and pools). Just after it sets clear it out with lots of water. http://www.fixaleak.com

We resolved the water leak issue, I managed to pinpoint the leak, and it was a very small 'pinhole' with easy access. I cleaned with alcohol, abraded with some emery cloth, and applied a decent-sized patch of JB Weld made for plastic. So far it is holding fine. I will update after taking it on a trip, vibrating, getting dirty, etc.
