Where is the best place to purchase slide out awnings and what brand is best? I plan to install them myself. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know if it's the best or not but this is what I had installed. I took all the measurements myself and had them order and install them.

I'm new to having a slide out. What does the awning do? Why put one on if the original design didn't call for it. Lots of new things to learn with this new unit.

Keeps all debris, excessive rain and sun off of slideout roof. They are usually options.

Will never have a unit without them.

Makes good sense. Wonder why the dealer didn't mention it? I'll ask tomorrow when we do our PDI on our new one. Can't wait for tomorrow morning to get here. Like a kid in a candy shop.
