Almost none other than the name. Jayco purchased the RV division of Starcraft in 1991.
Regardless, you will find many RV manufacturers use the same floor plans; putting in very slight variations with regards to trim and amenities. Otherwise, the refrigerators, toilets, showers, stoves, ovens, roof vents, A/C units, water heaters, furnaces, etc. are all made by only a few companies. So every RV manufacturer has to go to the same pools to get these items.

In the past the differences in the Jflight and Autumn Ridge have been minor, usually graphics, interior decor color choices and minor variations in standards and options.

Having owned both a Jayco and now a Starcraft, I would say the fit & finish in the Starcraft is better. I'm not knocking Jayco by any means, just stating my experience.

Being an ultra lite I would say probably similar to Whitehawk. According to Starcraft website "Climate Package: Insulated, heated and enclosed underbelly; foil insulation in roof"

The Launch would be the Whitehawk or Jayfeather equivalent. The Autumn Ridge line is the Jayflight equivalent.

I was just looking at the Jayco website and the starcraft 27bhu is close in weight but it is 155 lbs heavier then the 28dbsh whitehawk and when compared to the jayfeather it is over 1300 lbs heavier , It does have the same interior headroom as the jayfeather at 78 inches where as the whitehawk has 81 inches , So I'm thinking it's has the jayfeather dimensions but the whitehawk build , It also has the Big 30 x 36 shower like the jayflight 28bhbe , so it seem's it's a mix of all

It is really hard to try to compare the two manufactures. Even though Starcraft is owned by Jayco, most (there is some crossover) of the products are coming out of two different manufacturing locations. It is not like comparing most of the Forest River brands, exactly the same floor plans coming out of the same factories but with different exterior and interior colors. There are many differences between the two. My Starcraft 299BHU floor plan is not offered by Jayco. There are some that are close but none that put the couch opposite the dinette. I would compare my level of trailer to a Jayco Eagle, but a bit more budget friendly.

I went and looked at the starcraft today and it is very nice , I think this mite be the one for me , I have wanted a jayco 28bhbe for a long time and this starcraft is basically the same floor plan with the bunks and big shower and it weighs around 1000 lbs less and that is great for me since I have a semi new Eco diesel Ram 1500 that I don't want to trade in for a bigger truck , Now I just have to bite the bullet and do it

How are you liking that eco deisel Ram? Does it seem to have the power, cargo and towing capacities you need?

The Eco is a great motor , Runs strong with weight and gets great millage when unloaded , I drive over 100 miles a day empty and I average 25 to 26 mpg city highway combined now on the highway the evic say's 31 to 32 mpg at 70 mph , but I never just drive all highway , The truck can pull my lawn service trailer around 8500+ lbs with no problem when needed " I have a 3500 dura max that pull's it everyday other then the 3 days i pulled it with me Eco when the dura max was in the shop , I wouldn't pull that much every day with the Eco it's not rated for it , but it does fine pulling it . The eco is rated to pull between 7800 to 9200 lbs depending on what style truck you have , I am rated @ 7800 with a crew cab and four wheel drive .So pulling the starcraft will be in leagel Limit's and have no problem with the loaded weight even if trailer is maxed out.
Some guy's on the eco-diesel forum are pulling over 12 k with there truck's and they are doing fine so they say , but I would rather have a 3/4 or full ton with that much weight for safty reasons

The basic Starcraft is 700 pounds lighter than my 28BHBE with the elite package and thermal package. EWof my 28BHBE is 6843 pounds with 2 full 40 pound propane bottles. However Gross weight is up to 9250 pounds. (Not that I plan on filling it that full) but the frame has to be stronger to handle that much more weight. So we thought the 28BHBE would be a better built trailer.

I would guess the StarCraft would be cheaper because I don't see near the stuff I have on my 28BHBE. For example, above the Short Queen bed, there is a full length cabinet, not a shelf. The 28BHBE has a shower sliding door, not a curtain.
The 28BHBE has 2 40 pound propane bottles, not 2 30 pounders like in the StarCraft. Since we have the elite package, we also have the 88 gallon fresh water tank (Boondocking and PA state parks). We also have the thermal package.

Pulling is one consideration... The biggest problem is usually braking!!! The braking system is usually not big enough to stop the weight being pulled !!!
