Me and my son picked up this gem today she's been sitting for 5-6 years under a tree in soft ground so she sank up to the axle in the rear and lower control arms in front. Took us a bit of tinkering to get her running and pulled out of the holes she was in but afterwards we made the 30 mile journey home with no issues.
Our plan is to clean her up, check it over for safe driving and do some reapir work where needed then find a new home for it. I'm sure someone would appreciate an older usable motorhome. It's a 1980 23ft StarCraft. Take a look at the pics. Just wanted to share our experiences today. It'll be a fun father son project for now. Then maybe on to the next diamond in the rough.
That is awesome!! Can’t wait to see how you bring it back to life [emoji3]

Check the tires manufacturing date, a four digit number stamped in the sidewall. Sitting for that long almost demands tire replacement before a road trip.

Tires are showing signs of cracking in between the tread already so that is on the list. Tires are going to cut into the budget a bit but in the interest of safety it needs to be done. We're hoping to turn a little profit once it is finished. The engine runs great, only 38,000 miles.
