Any Mod the propane mount on a 2017 16xrb?

So, a cold weekend of camping and we finally ran out of propane. It was a majot pain in the but to get the tank off. Right now my propane tank mounts with two bolts and two nuts and they're in a inconvenient place to reach. It's incredibly inconvenient to change a tank. It takes a wrench to hold the bolt and a wrench to turn the nut. Has anyone come up with an easier way to mount the tank?

I changed mine out to a duel tank holder. It's now very easy to remove the tank without tools but it also allows me to add another tank if needed. Once i added this, I converted my Weber Q to a quick connect so I don't need those small bottles anymore.

I also needed a longer gas line

I have never worried about tank theft so I replaced the two bolts with snap pins .
Also called locking pins. safety pins and some other names. $1.50 at the hardware store.

I use the same ones to secure my hitch ball to the trailers. Just push them through and pull the wire bail over the end.

Some vibration can occur but the quarter inch bolts did also.

Feather 7 18 RBM here, I added a second tank using the Amazon part that the second poster used. I mounted it as far back as I could, but it cut down on my turning clearance. Needing all the clearance I can as I'm a horrible backer upper I went back to the single tank. Carry a spare tank in the PU bed.

Heres my mod for two tanks. They sell the plate and holder on Amazon. I'm gonna tell you that I used self tapping screws and washers to mount it at first. One of the screw heads sheared off during travel. I just had it welded on after that.

You don't loose a lot, but you do loose some. Might depend on
your vehicle and hitch setup. You also may be better at backing
up than I am.

I change mine to what is called Coleman straps or hangers. They are quarter inch rod bent to conform to the tank. There is a hook at the top that catches on the tank. The bottoms are threaded and use wing nuts. Much easier to remove the tank when needed.

Do you have a picture of that set up?

I used two snap rings or snap pins. Here is a reference as I don't have a picture. Much better than cruddy 1/4 inch bolts. Still a little loose but has lasted thousands of miles with no problems. You can't see them from above so no one who did not know would assume they were still bolted down.

CURT
1/4" Safety Pin (2-3/4" Pin Length)

Equipped with wire clip
Steel construction with zinc finish
$1.01

Home depot or anywhere

Thanks for the link! I see what you mean. Not sure which solution is best for my application but good info in this forum. Thanks to all!
