Costco Rewards

Has anyone else gotten the notice of the new Costco co-branded City card. Rewards are great, 4% on $7,000 of gas including Costco gas. 3% at restaurant and travel worldwide, 2% cashback at Costco and Costco.com and 1% cashback everywhere else. Better than the Amex Card it is replacing.

Last day to use Amex at Costco is June 19, new cards should start being sent in May. If you have a Amex Costco card you will automatically get the new Citi card with no credit inquiry.

I'm all for the higher percentages of cash back, but it appears that the Costco refund we would get in October is going away. Not a problem for us, we'll still shop Costco and use their new card. We love the stores and the great prices on gas!

These are the rewards for the Citi co branded card only. The Costco rewards when your an executive member will not change. So in my case I get 2% back because I'm an executive member, PLUS I'll get another 2% from Citi when I use my Citi visa card. When I purchase Costco fuel, I will get the 2% Costco reward PLUS the 4% Citi Visa reward, or 6% back on fuel. That's huge when your getting 10mpg

I just upgraded to the Executive membership. Heard about the new Visa card but they didn't have any literature yet to give me. Sounds great though! Administration person told me that they would now accept any Visa card as well.

Costco is starting to have more and more stores that have diesel. We have two near Sacramento (Folsom and Roseville).

Yes, sometime in May they will start accepting Visa..June 19 is last day they will accept Amex. But if you get the Costco branded card you get those rebates in addition to the rebates you get from the executive memebership.

I am not happy about this... Visa is the only card I do not carry... In Canada they switched to Master Card.. Now I have to go out and apply for a */-+ Visa card and that lowers your credit score every time you apply for a new charge card..
