Fit System Towing Mirrors

Specifically I'm reviewing the Fit System Towing Mirrors for my 2011 Ford F-150. I purchased these from Amazon.com a couple weeks prior to our departure on our round-the-country road trip. I wanted to see better behind my trailer since we had over 8500 miles of towing planned.

Ford F-150 Towing Mirror - Pair

The mirrors themselves are made of I believe nylon fill ABS and are very durable. They include a two-compartment storage bag which prevents the mirrors from rubbing/rattling against each-other while being stored. The mirrors are well designed with cutouts for the mirror mounted turn signals and convenience lights and look like they belong on the truck from the factory while mounted (with the exception that they are not chrome like the mirrors on my truck).

There is an anti-vibration/rattle pad on the inside of the mirrors so they do not rub or vibrate while mounted and driving. They come off and go on with ease and are not in the way when the power mirrors are folded in. This is super convenient as parking is already tight with a SuperCrew F-150. After ~12,000 miles of driving with these on I'm fairly confident in their high quality. Short of factory installed towing mirrors these are the next best thing. After removal they didn't leave any marks or scuffs on the factory mirrors which is also a plus.

Because they match so well with the factory mirrors they are almost unnoticeable and thus aren't a likely target for theft while parked. I would rate these a 9.5/10 with the half point deduction for not having a chrome option Seriously after 12K miles they are still like new.

Talking

I've got the same mirrors for my Silverado and I love them. I do not have chrome mirrors so that is not an issue. I give them 10/10.

The picture is upside down, not the mirror.

Thanks for the review! At $55 a pair, I will definitely give these a try.

We purchased the CIPA mirrors that fit over the stock mirrors for our Silverado. Have had them for 4 years and have had no issues with them..
