Norcold refrigerator

I have a Jayco Designer 5th wheel. I've never been happy with the N 1095 refrigerator. When it gets hot out the coldest it usually gets is mid to upper 40's. Replace the cooling unit, added fans for ventilation, etc. any suggestions as to a replacement unit or just what. I want a cold fridge.

I really can't help with your question, but I'm curious and others may be too:
Did it not get cold enough when on either electric or propane?

The fridge compartment itself should be around 47 to 48 F and the Freezer compartment around 18F with the normal setting. From there you can dial to cooler temperatures.
Be sure airflow over the condenser isn't blocked. A 4" PC fan should help your airflow on hot days.

I have 2 fans. It doesn't really make a difference on gas or electric.

I also have the N1095. I've tried a lot of things to make these fridges work better and so far the best I've found is this. https://smartrvproducts.com/ It's expensive but hands down the best addition. I also turn my fridge off every day for just about 2 seconds. If you don't, the fridge goes into auto defrost every day or so and turns off for about an hour.

My freezer runs around 0 and the fridge runs 30 to 35 on the 4 setting.
