Portable Washing Machine

Just curious if anyone has one or has used one of these? I know they are for small loads but please provide feedback if you have any as we are interested in looking into purchasing one. Thanks!

I looked this up on www.amazon.com and found lots of interesting reviews. Thought you might want to look there.

Hey thanks! We've been doing quite a bit of research and surprised at how popular the mini and compact washing machines are becoming. We ordered this one off of Amazon today actually and should get it next week.

We wanted something with a little more capacity and liked the idea of the separate spinner. Thanks for your input!

We've actually been considering the same. We cloth diaper our little one and have a week-long trop coming up. Thought this might come in quite handy.

If you read the reviews and questions on the different units on Amazon they do address how well certain machines handle the cloth diapers. I really wanted an all in one unit like the Mr. Heater Basecamp or the Panda Mini but wife wanted a slightly larger unit with separate spinner. The Panda brand seems to be the major brand. I'll post a pic and review of ours once we get it in.

Update: We purchased the Giantex portable washing machine with separate spinner. The pros and cons

Pros: Extremely strong wash action
Spinner does great job
Easy to Use
Handles fairly large loads for small capacity
Price is very reasonable
Actually very light for size and very portable

Cons: Uses larger amount of water than we wanted - hence your holding tanks fill faster
Overall size is bigger than we wanted with our limited space and we could use it outside but storage is an issue when not in use and can't be left outside overnight if it rains or dews heavy
Draining is an issue as it is gravity drain only. With a pump you could at least drain it into blue tote as tote sits higher than washing machine

Overall, this machine is awesome and I have decided to keep it as a garage washer for greasy and oily rags and pet bedding and things like that. If you have a larger RV than ours I would recommend this unit. For Dorm or Apt. this thing would be great. We are buying the Mr. Heater Basecamp with Spin Basket this week....will review that one as well.

**UPDATE**

So we purchased the Mr. Heater Basecamp compact washing machine with spinner basket and here's my pros and cons:

Pros: very nice size for RV and fits under queen bed nightstand for storage and travel
easy operation
strong agitator
does decent size loads, kids clothes was only one wash load
Camping World price matched Cabelas so instead of $104 we got it for $74
Lint trap worked very well

Cons: Spinner wasn't as strong as I anticipated after having the Giantex Portable mentioned above but still did a decent jobe
You do have to hold the machine to steady it during spin cycle
Drain Hose tends to spill over during wash, not much but can still be a bit wet and messy

Overall , I am thrilled with this purchase and would recommend this for any RV'er looking to wash a few loads while camping. We mainly use it for kids clothes, towels, and washcloths and dish towels. Very nice little machine.
