Yamaha EF2000is Inverter Generator Kit

Yamaha EF2000is Generator Kit
Well, National Supply won my business with their excellent generator prices and included accessories.

I bought (2) Yamaha EF2000IS V2 2000watt inverter generators with the Sidewinder Parallel power cable.

The kit included (2) fuel mix RX bottles and (2) bottles of generator oil.

I am very happy with my choice and the price I got them for.

I bought them for their 51dB sound level, gas gauge, fuel shut off, clean power for computers and sensitive equipment, and the 44 pound weight of each. I am not getting any younger so having two smaller units of manageable weight is a real plus. The fuel shut off is also a nice features with today's gas containing ethanol. You do not want this stuff sitting in the carburators for too long.

I can run everything but the A\C with one, and in the summer months, whip out the second unit and run the A\C and a lot more.

I did shop around and they had the best price I could find to the door.

That was a great deal Fairenatic. Is that fuel mix RX something like StaBil fuel treatment?

I pick up my TT from Middlebury, IN. on the 1st of March.

I got a copy of the dealer PDI and everything is supposed to be in order.

Just hope I can find a campground open in the area to give her a good trial run.

Thanks for asking. It is taking every ounce of my patience to wait it out.

Ask Dalengail... He sent me to a campground near there and I think it's open all year round.

...snip
Hope everything goes smoothly. Good luck finding a CG open. You'll be in 'cold country' up north so you'll probably get a good chance at trial runs for your furnace and your generators, but not the A/C!

Yeah, the cold weather made me reconsider picking her up in January, when she was ready. And all the closed camp grounds.

But, all plans are in motion and she will soon be following me home.

I will post a video walk through for all of you since this may be one of the first 330RSTS off the production line.

My rig is 39'11 and almost 6' of it is in the truck bed. AND it's LONG!

I would love to see your 330, in person, hooked up to a bumper hitch. It gonna be HUGE!

I will be close to you, but not close enough, I am afraid.

Yeah, she is going to be long in the legs, but I like my women that way!!!
Good thing I have the equipment to keep her happy. LOL

I have the 3000SIB for like 10 years now. Love it, powers AC etc and has never given me a problem. Use it at home too when power goes. Heavy weight but for us it works.

Fairenatic,

The campground that klassic is referring to, I think, is the campground at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen. Once you pick up the trailer in Middlebury, your GPS will most likely have you at the fairgrounds in less than 15 or 20 minutes. That will probably be via IN SR 13 south to SR 4 west.

According to my weather forecasting ap, it says the 1st few days of March are supposed to be upper
40's and lower 50's during the day. Should be great for testing everything before you leave the county.

When you get setup over there and have some free time, I wouldn't mind meeting you and taking a look at the fabulous rig.

Congratulations!!

I also own this model of Yamaha. It was purchased at a Honda/Yamaha dealer. when asked which was the better of the two brands, the sales rep said one was as reliable as the other and had service department records to back up the claim. Nice thing was, both on sale but the Yamaha was $100.00 less expensive than the Honda.

Thanks for the heads up. I will make reservations on Monday.

And I would be happy to give you a heads up once I am settled in and have you check out the new TT.

I will PM you with my contact information.

Thanks again for your help.

Also Fairenatic, I don't know if you think these would be handy...but... I LOVE THEM!
If your door is made by Challenger Doors (you would need to ask Jayco for the model# as you can't look yourself)
They, Challenger, make clear vinyl/aluminum storm inserts that clip into the screen door and keep the heat or cold in while leaving your door open. Which is what camping is all about.
You won't even be able to tell they are on. Very clear.

They are super resilient and were in perfect condition after 7 years of use on my old rig, surviving little kids, fingers poking, pushing on them etc...

Anyway they are about $120, but their shipping and packaging prices area little extreme.
You will be right around the corner from them when you are up there. If you think this interests you, you could possibly pre arrange a pick up.
I have the salesman's contact info if you want it.

It's going to cost an arm and leg to get them shipped to me in Ontario. I'm just waiting for Dale to drive them over to me

One more thing... make sure the dealer fills both your LP tanks, or it might get pretty cold in there

Thanks for the reminder. If the heating system fails, I do not think the electric fire place would be able to keep up.

I think I will bring my portable propane heater and my portable electric heater, just in case.

We have had 2 of these Yamaha inverter/generators for 3 years now. Love them. We do quite a bit of dry camping and these generators powered my then 26 BH and now 28 BHBE non stop for 3 -4 days straight. Unlike the Hondas, these have a fuel gauge and also a fuel shut-off . They run all day on a tank of gas. We chain them to the A frame in Wally Mart lots when we stop for the night.
