Upgraded the entire suspension: replaced the 3,500 lb OEM axles axles, hubs/drums, brakes, bearings and leaf springs with Dexter D60 straight axles fitted with 5.2K springs. Replaced the 14" OEM wheels and tires with 15" 6-lug steel wheels and 10-ply ST 225/75R15 tires.
Interior
Changed to a furnace floor register with a damper in the bedroom.
Customizations
Added slide out drawers under the dinette seats, two additional shelves in the upper cabinets and a rail in the cabinet below the sink.
You'll notice the stains on my new wood parts don't match the OEM color of the vinyl... It bugs me but I'm going to let that go.
We added all sorts of plastic bins in every cabinet in order to organize things better.
Renovations and Repairs
Lots of minor items under warranty after one year. Two items of note:
(1) Furion DVD unit failed and was replaced,
(2) Hex head bolt (floor to frame) in kitchen started to push up through the vinyl floor. The washer and nut came off from the underside. After our 11,000 mile Alaska trip in 2019, a second floor bolt is coming up near the kitchen/bath door. Will fix myself.
Replaced the Norcold vent on the outside of the TT.
Replaced a 30" x 20" frameless window (shattered during a trip)
Tow Vehicle
2016 RAM 1500 4x4 Crew Cab 5.7L Hemi with a Fastway e2 round bar weight equalizing hitch.
