I'm guessing fireman2525 works in the oil industry (location = Louisiana). We were in that area this fall and heard stories and news of towns that were hurting because the oil industry is laying off workers. Oil prices are still headed down; good for some of us, but not for everyone.

Sorry, I guess there is a downside to every upside.

I work in the oil field and the cost to produce a barrel of oil exceeds the market price which leads to major layoffs and salary cuts.

Its not going to sell used for that price to anyone who knows their TT's.

They must have seen him coming.

He will be lucky if he gets $30K for it. But, his luck has to get better.

I can relate, but thank goodness we're debt free. Been in this industry 20 years and probably will get canned in another month or so.

Wish you luck fireman, I know the feeling.

Unfortunately, the price Fairenatic mentioned is probably more accurate for what it'll actually bring. Used is used, 1 day old or 1 year.

He is not alone, I am afraid. Many of us have been through these slumps that work in the energy industry.

My business has felt the drop in oil prices. Glad I paid cash for mine and I sold the house before oil prices tanked.

When its good, its great, but when its bad, it can get really brutal.

Wishing all the best.
