110 connection

We are having Work done on the house so we are camping in the driveway. I only have a 110 outlet. Can I use a small electric heater?

It depends on what amp breaker it's on, 15 amp or 20 amp. What else is on that circuit in the house? What's the wattage of the heater? What else do you want to run in the rig?

You should be able to run the heater by itself, but anything else, even the converter might max out the circuit.

I standard outlet should carry a 750 or 1,000 watt heater. a 1,500 watt model would be pushing it since you may also have lights, etc. going. don't try to run a microwave, coffee pot, etc. at the same time as the heater.

You could run a second line into the house if possible and run two small heaters.

I run a 1500 watt heater in mine all the time. Worse thing that will happen, as long as you using a good extension cord is a popped circuit breaker in the house.

Run a separate extension cord into the camper for the heater if you are worried you are drawing too much on the outlet you have camper plugged into. Make sure to plug extension cord into a different circuit (outlet) in the house.
