12volt pump

New to forum, looking for information on 2015
Jayco eagle premiere utility center setting.
When on city water connections the 12 volt pump
Won’t work.I have to go outside and turn settings to normal.Is this correct ?

I don’t have any experience with that camper but I’ve never seen one that didn’t need the valves set for either “city water” when using a spigot or “pump” when drawing from your onboard tank.

City water does not use the 12v pump, it uses water from the hose connection.
Dry camping uses the 12v pump

Every rv I have ever owned ,when you are hooked to city water if the water is shut off unexpectedly (car parked on hose etc.) you
Can turn on the 12 volt pump and draw water from the freshwater tank. I guess Jayco ‘s are different.

Jayco's do work the same way, but the pump won't work if there's still pressure in the system from the city water hookup. Release the hose pressure, and your pump will draw from tank water.
