1999 Eagle 5th wheel rear corner separated.

New to me a 99 Eagle 26.9 with both side/rear separating. I can see the wood behind the siding is rotting and the lower half is worse than the upper half with about a 1.5"-1.76" gap. Everything was caulked but the lower half has separated and I need to fill and cover the gap. I just don't want to caulk and not keep the corner together. Any suggestions on what type of tape and or caulk to use?
Thanks in advance.

It needs to be repaired as it will just get worse. You can tape but it will get worse But before you repair you need to find the leak and fix. Probably on the roof.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't been online in the last few days. The leak was repaired and I believe that the bouncing ride from the previous owners home to mine may have opened it up. I caulked it again and I will keep an eye on it.
