1999 fifth wheel

So I bought a 1999 Eagle 29ft FW for $800.

It needs a new roof (no roof on it now) and front and rear walls replaced due to the failed roof. The majority of the walls are torn out at the moment and are open to the interior of the camper. But the previous owner bought all the roofing material, interior luan, and external paneling as framework. All of the siding is labeled to easily be re-installed. Other than replacing the bad paneling its in great shape.

I'm having a hard time nailing down the model and getting some specs, wiring diagrams, plumbing diagrams, etc. Everything i find doesn't match my floor plan or the exact length which is 28.5 ft.

Is there a place where this information exists?

Thanks in advance!

Might want to call Jayco and discuss. For something that age, direct from the horses mouth might be most accurate. Good luck and post pics of your re-build.

Can you find the VIN? Jayco should be able to tell you exactly what you have from that.

When I pick it up i'll have to get it, not doing that until Saturday. I'm just even having difficulty finding a floor plan that matches the camper. Once i get the vin and the model i'll be sure to call Jayco. Thanks Guys

It would be cool to see the progress of your build. Open a new discussion and post up some pics if you're in to that kind of thing. I for one would be interested to see the progress of your project! Good luck!

You never know, it could turn out AMAZING! And if it doesn't, you don't have to put up the pics...

Here are a few pics of my camper i bought for $800. picked it up saturday afternoon

The drive home, truck barely noticed it honestly

This is basically how i got it minus some corner framing we had already done at this point.

The back wall, corners and roof still need torn apart further.

By last night I had the front completely framed back up ready for insulation and siding. The siding on the side wall is re-installed and i could have put window back in if i had butyl tape and sealant.

Just goes to show that if a person has the ability and a little bit of time there are some great deals to be had.
Please keep posting pictures as you go. Im sure it will be a great help to some one else someday.

Thats the way a good woman works. She marries a piece of sorry crap and before you know it he turns into something good.

Hope your remodel goes well! Your 5th wheel looks a lot like mine. I needed the wiring schematic and emailed Jayco support and they got it to me in 2 days. Super to work with. I did need the VIN though.
