2008 Eagle 30.5

I am new to the forum and to camping and I have just bought a Jayco Eagle 30.5 which I havent picked up yet. I am going to pull it with a GMC 2500 short bed question is the owner says I wont have any problems with trailer and cab hitting,he is also throwing the hitch which is a pro 15k slider. Anybody have a simular setup and will I have problems with trailer hitting the cab,I am kind of worried about this.

I don't have a short bed but my friend in Arizona does and his slider was gummed up and a pain to slide so he left it locked in place. He let his guard down and it did go crunch. My only advice is that if you have a slider just keep it in good condition.
