2014 Jayco Eagle Premier 331 RETS

Hello all,
I am not new to RV's but this is my first Jayco

I recently purchased a 14 Eagle Premier 331RETS, one owner. The outside is in great shape, kept under a pole barn. I am having a lot of issues with the systems though.

1. Awning LED keeps blowing the 5amp fuse in the basement panel, not sure why and I cannot find anything obvious. Does anyone have an idea of what could be the problem?

2. Battery compartment short circuit fuses are failing. when AC power is shut off, none of the 12V systems are working, I can tap the fuses and make the lights inside flicker. I have ordered new ones but is there something I need to address before I install the new ones?

3. Tank level indicator mis-wired. I have all 4 tanks emptied and the indicator saying such. I fill the black tank through the toilet and check the monitor panel, black tank still shows empty but gray 1 shows fluid in it. I drain black tank and liquid comes out as expected and gray 1 is still empty. Has anyone had this issue with their unit and was it an easy fix?

4. I hear an intermittent clicking noise from the kitchen, bathroom and basement areas. It is hard to pinpoint. I have removed panels in the basement and still cannot narrow it down. Has anyone had this happen and what was it?

5. Water heater not working on gas, the one time it was partially working the flame was like a candle and sooted up the side of the trailer. I have blown out the burner tube and flame tubes. When I turn on the red water heater switch tries to light, then hear a loud bang, probably from propane buildup in the burner tube. Could this be something other than a circuit board?

Thanks all,

Jason

We hear the same clicking noise in our 2020 Jayco North Point. Going to ask repair guy when he comes will let you know what he says.

Updates to some of the issues.

Problem 1.
There is a light under the folding steps that I did not notice initially, that light fixture was damaged causing the fuse to blow when I turned on the LED awning light as they are on the same switch.

Problem 2.
I replaced both of the short circuit fuses and everything works fine now however they are not the same amperage fuses, one is 30 amp and one is 50 amp.

Problem 3.
No solution yet

Problem 4.
I believe the clicking noise is from the relay on the back of the water heater for the electric side.(Atwood water heater) The electric side quit working intermittently and when it did the clicking would stop. I have not replaced it yet to verify but after talking to some RV repair people, pretty sure thats what it is.

Problem 5.
The burner tube had something in it that air was not going to blow out. Had to take off the tube and dig out whatever had gotten inside. Working fine now.

Hi Jason… have an Eagle Premier 375BHFS and having issues with awning and step lights… you mentioned in issue 1 that you found a 5amp fuse in basement panel… can you share where you found this 5amp fuse… in-line? On remote command panel? Thanks

Make sure all the ground wires for the system are grounded properly.

There is a removable panel on the back basement wall on door side and there is an additional 12V fuse panel behind there yours may be in a different place but that's where I found mine
