I hope mine works properly on my North Point... all I wanted was self leveling.

DO you still have to level with boards (or similar) if the site is really out of level?
I have sometimes had to go 3.5 inches plus under the wheels.
If I have properly working jacks and enough stroke, do I just let it lift the trailer off the wheels on the one side?

Jeez! Those must be some powerful jacks to lift the trailer off the tires!!

I was always taught to keep ALL tires in contact with the ground. It's more
Stable that way.

I have had them lift the trailer off the ground on one side. But, yes, the trailer does tend to wobble more than if all the tires are in contact with the ground. My rig has 6 jacks, so I now carry lots of leveling blocks.

Yes, you WILL still need to level the unit BEFORE the system will auto level. There is not enough stroke for it to lift 3.5" as the system is not smart enough to know that it should lower one side so it doesn't have to lift the other so much. Then it will AMP out if it is lifting too hard and putting a lot of strain on the jacks. Also mine are so close to the ground when they are all the way up it's scary. Looks like a small curb and uneven roadway will tear them right off.

Manty... it's more unstable with the 6 point. Oh that is sad or not right. I was in a trailer with hydraulic 6 point and it was so stable it was awesome, all the tires were of the ground on one side and most of the weight on the second I hate when dogs move my trailer.

I'm starting to wonder if the electric version are just junk or if the dealers are just not bothering with knowing how they work and actually setting them up correctly for customers.

Or if the RV industry is just unwilling to buy anything but junk to start with

When we did our PDI the guy had no clue how to work anything in our camper. What a waste as I already knew more than him. He couldn't even work the TV remote.
As for the leveling system, it's one of the only reasons DW let me buy a new camper. So far it has yet to function properly. According to the dealer / shop expert this is the first one they've seen with the new system so they have no clue either. Ugh is not even close to the frustration I have built up. With the cost of this unit it should be PERFECT!!!! It's anything but.

My previous rig had the hydraulic model. Never had a problem with them bottoming out and only took seconds to level the RV. When I bought the Pinnacle, the dealer told me Jayco prefers not to use hydraulics. Perhaps it's because it requires hydraulic lines to be run through the living space.

I was turned off of the hydraulic (Level Up) after I saw TWO different rigs from two different dealers at an RV show leaking on the floor of the arena.
I just didn't want to ever deal with a hydraulic leak and a jack that drops.

Maybe I have bought into a whole new problem with the 3.0.

My limited experience with LCI ground control 3.0

During PDI, Tech demoed for me on concrete floor of shop. Worked perfectly!

Took directly to campground but unfortunately the site I had reserved online(because it had 50 amp) had pretty good slope front to back. Unhitched and started auto level. System got as far putting both rear jacks down and errored out. I couldn't figure out how to get it out of error mode as there were no written manuals in camper for system.
I was able to manually adjust the front and rear jacks enough with blocks to camp for weekend.
Once I got home and got manual online, I figured out I needed to extend all the jacks at least 4" or so and then I could auto retract all jacks while hooked up to clear the error code and get it back to normal.

Next trip, I got a level site. Auto level worked perfectly.

In manual under "Prior to Operation", it states the system should only be operated under the following conditions. "1. The unit is parked on a reasonably level surface."

I had hoped it would do better than that. My plan now for when site is less than level is to level like I did with my previous travel trailer. Side to side with pads under low wheel. Front to back with front jacks and manually operate the rear and middle jacks with pads as necessary. At least until someone shows me a better way.

We are supposed to pick ours up Monday and now I'm really starting to wonder about the choice we made. The auto leveling is one of the features we upgraded for. Thanks for posting some of the issues with it so I will kinda know how to handle it.

Dealer just called and said mine is ready to pick up. They will "Show me" what I was doing wrong. Well lets see this magic you speak of. I don't want to see it work on a perfectly level area. I would like to see it work in the real world, at least a 1% difference. I will post as to what happens when I pick it up. Right now I am in the middle of installing the Firestone Ride-Rite air bag system on my truck. FYI: anyone tackling this job better have many hours and a friend to help because the directions S@#K!! and you will need another set of hands.

MantyGary, My truck is squatting onto the overloads really badly. Truck is dropping over 4" with the camper on it. My neighbor has the same truck so when I get the camper from the shop we're going to see how far his squats. Front tires feel loose as well as it feels like all the weight is on the rear.

So I just got the call from my dealer. Says "most" things are fixed and ready.
Said the 3.0 system is functioning properly and I must be doing something wrong again. Hmmm
TV is bad so they had to order a new one.
Are you ready for this one???? The curbside wall is coming apart in many places and the unit needs to go to Jayco for an entire new wall... OMG!!!!!!!!! I think how about just a new camper???? I'm not so sure I want them ripping the wall off and putting a new one on after it's been finished..... What would you guys do?

I'd be nervous. I'd say "new camper". If it's a construction issue, I'd say they can fix it and resell it.

Still waiting to hear from Jayco what will be done for the repair on the side wall issue.

New problem: The space between the rear bumper of the TV and the front of the Pinnacle are MUCH tighter than my old 351 RLTS. If you're not 100% straight with the truck to trailer and the tailgate is down...... You WILL hit the camper. I have the step in my tailgate which makes it very heavy for my DW to hold partially open as I back up or pull out. Looks like a vented V-notched tailgate will be on order soon.

Adjusted the air pressure in the air bags to have the truck level with the camper attached, Towed like a dream. Not sure what took me so long to add these to my truck with all the towing I do.
