2016 Jayco 29.5 BHDS Bent Axles

Everyone I need some help. I bought a 2016 Jayco 29.5 BHDS back in late 2015. I took it in for a axle bearing job and was informed that both axles are bent and all 4 tires have uneven wear and need to be replaced due to axles.

It is being brought to my attention by company servicing that Lippert is using 3500lb spindles and brakes but labeling axles as 4400lb because of thicker cross section bar. It is believed that the Lippert axles used are not sufficient for the GVWR of the trailer.

I have written Jayco and Lippert to see how they would like to handle this but wanted to reach out to the forum for guidance in the coming steps that should be made and also to inform others with the same trailer.

Thanks in advance!

That is a problem, if true, about the axle specs. One of the problems (in my mind) is Jayco producing a unit like this that only has a ccc 1650#. Pretty easy to overload...possibly.

I have a 24MBH with uneven tire wear on the inboard right tire after 2,000 highway miles.
A friend also had the same problem and it was a war with Jayco to replace under warranty as they claimed customer damage. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to prove damage or owner misuse. Good luck. I have just started my battle with Jayco as the trailer is scheduled for repair with Crestview RV in Budda, Texas. JSOG6
