2016 North Point 341RLTS Batteries

When I picked up my new North Point on 3/21/17 I was shocked that it came with 6 Interstate Group 27 batteries installed. Is this how all the North points are coming? Or is it because it is equipped with the Generator Prep?

How do you maintain this amount of Batteries over the winter on a Battery Tender?

I have 3 Interstate Group 27's on the bottom shelf, and 3 more on the upper shelf. Have never seen so many Batteries in a 5th wheel before.

Dealer installs the batteries, not the factory. They are easy to maintain, just leave the trailer plugged in so the converter/charger can keep them charged.

I live in NH and have always taken my Batteries out of the Campers, Mowers, Jet Ski, etc. so they do not freeze in the NH winters.

Just not so sure that I want to be pulling out 6 Group 27 Batteries and putting them on Battery Tenders. Also concerned about RV Battery charging system boiling the Batteries dry.

Charged batteries won't freeze. They only freeze when low on charge. Has to be very cold to freeze a battery. I've only seen them freeze when completely dead. Leave the trailer plugged in, and no worries. Check the water levels 3 or 4 times a year.

Modern RVs have multiple stage chargers now. Overcharging is a thing of the past. I keep my trailer plugged in 365 with no issues. My batteries are 7 years old.

My 2017 NorthPoint 301RETS came with 1 group 24 battery but when I seen how big the compartment was I added 4 more.
