2016 Pinnacle 38 FLSA

Has anyone else had their awning collapse yet? I swear the new awnings are made out of tin. We had a tiny bit of rain and a slight breeze. Not enough to send us back to the campground from the beach. When I returned the awning had collapsed. Not impressed at all with the quality.

We have the 2016 FBTS and on the first trip to the beach when we retracted the awning everything was fine until it was almost completely retracted then we heard a slamming noise. It did this twice. We did not feel as if the wind was strong enough to have caused any damage. We took it back to the dealership and it was a bent arm WHICH might I say was NOT covered under the warranty!! We, like you, are not satisfied with the quality. With the costs of these units being as high as they are you would think the quality would be lots better!

I'm being told that mine is being covered under warranty. Won't know until mid July when I pick it up!

Hopefully it will be covered for you. They told us that it had to be a defective part or fabric in order for the warranty to cover it. So our pockets were $500 lighter when we picked it up! Needless to say when we have the awning out I am constantly checking for wind....Drives my husband crazy!!
