2017 355MBQS Goodyear tire and X-chock

We just picked up our 2017 355MBQS 2 weeks ago, everything is great so far (driveway camping and still getting everything where we want it). I have had 1 issue though, I had 2 BAL X-chocks from our previous travel trailer. One was bent, won't say how that happened, so we bought a new one with the camper. Our 355 has the new Goodyear tires on it and the space between them is so small the X-chocks won't fit. It seems like the new one went smaller, but it still won't go between the tires without a fight. We also have auto level and my campsite at home is a little out of level. The left rear tire is off of the ground when level and at that time I could get the X-chock in, I figured I would put it in, that way when we went to hookup the camper, it would have the X-chocks to hold it in place when the rear jacks were raised. Well that was a bad idea, it was wedged so tight that I had to raise the camper to get it out and it is now bent (now have 2 bent X-chocks). Has anyone else had this problem? I'm guessing I'll go to the homemade version with the 4X4's and the threaded rod unless someone has another solution.

I had new tires installed, and had them lift the RV to next suspension hole, then noticed next trip that my clearance was too tight for my x-chocks. Sold them and went with the type that you install top to bottom and crank on tightening knob. They might not be as firm as the x-chocks but do the job.

I had bought the Xtended X chocks for our previous trailer (Coachmen) but had read about how much closer the axles on the Jayco Eagle TT's and given that I also ordered the 16" Maxxis tire upgrade, I just assumed that the distance between the tires would be even less and there was no way the Xtended version would work on the Eagle and ordered a standard set in the hopes they would work.

When I tried the standard ones, they wouldn't work on the new Eagle, so they were promptly returned and I was resigning myself to the notion that I would have to find another solution. But before I just tossed the Xtended set up on a shelf in the garage, I said what the heck and gave them a try.

I closed them up as far as I could and tried to place them in between the tires and to my utter surprise, they went in with a little room to spare!!

Can't say if this will work for you with the Goodyears but you might want to give it a try.
