2017 Jayco Pinnacle 38REFS Battery Strength

We were away overnight for Thanksgiving and lowered our heat to 60 degrees! When we arrived back Home to the campground my battery strength is at 2/3 and not fully charged!

Any idea what would have caused this?

Are you looking at the LED's that came with the TT? Do you have a Volt meter to check your battery voltage? Those LED's are pretty much useless. Without a volt meter it will be difficult to find out what the problem is.

- What was the temperature outside?
- Is your shore power working ok?
- Fuse to the power converter (110VAC >> 12VDC) OK?
- You could look for a loose battery connection(s).
- Check the NEGATIVE battery cable where it connects to the frame of the TT.
- Check your batteries fluid level in each cell.
- Has the battery ever been discharged to where the lights did not shine bright?
- If you happen to have a volt meter (or can borrow one from another camper) what is the battery voltage.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the reply! It was in the low to mid 30’s for temps when we returned even though we had lowered the heat to 60 degrees! I thought that I should fill the battery cells with water in the morning but after having the lights , tv etc on for about 40 minutes the battery power cranked back up on its own to pull power!

We are leaving on Monday for the winter in Florida and I’m having it winterized so I’ll check the battery cells then
