2018 Eagle changes

My wife and I are looking at either a 321rsts or 317rlok.

We were at a Jayco dealer yesterday and received a sheet outlining the changes for 2018. Lots of good things coming!

Now, one of my concerns compared to some competitors is a lower GVW resulting in a lower payload. Example, a Grand Design Reflection has GVW of 13995 with payloads close to 3000lbs, while the above Jayco models have GVW of 12750 with payloads of under 2000lbs.

Ok, back to the changes for 2018, one of which is "better cargo capacities per floorplan". The dealer did not have further information on this, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell us what the new GVW's or payloads will be?

Thanks in advance,

Bradk

Thank you for this post. Would you mind listing all the changes on the 2018 eagle that were on that sheet.

I have a beat-up 2 page printout from the dealer of the changes, and I would be happy to scan and upload. However, while the dealer gave a paper copy to me, I don't know if this is for public distribution yet.

Moderators, would it be ok for me to scan and upload this?

If not, I can try to summarize the changes, but again there is a 2 page list, so lots of stuff.

Thanks!

Just do it, if the dealer gave it to you than it's for public disclosure. Worst thing that happens is the thread gets deleted lol. But I am very interested in this as I ordered a 2018 325BQHS and still can't get any info about changes. Only thing I was told is "nothing major"

I'm also interested. I have a 317rlok on order. My dealer told me it would be a 2018 at 2017 pricing, so I don't think the new changes will be included on mine. Has the MSRP changed from the 2017.

2018 Eagle changes

Ok, here you go!

Couple of notes:
-the salesman said this is from the rep end of March, but definitely applies to the new 2018 models, even though you can see it says 2017 and they scribbled over top of it. I do believe this is accurate as many of the changes, such as Chestnut decor replacing Meadow are definitely not anywhere on the 2017 specs on jayco.com
-sorry for marking it up, I would have left it a bit more pristine if I knew I was going to upload it here
-we are also just getting ready to order a 317RLOK and are also being quoted off of the 2017 options list
-last, the dealer did indicate that while this is the latest information, it is very preliminary and they have seen cases where by the time a build might happen in a few weeks there will be updated spec sheets with further changes. He even stated that with something like a new decor, it could even be substituted with another one if for some reason it did not make it to final production.

Hope that helps; I'm sure no expert, but happy to answer any other questions that I might actually know an answer to ;-)

Hmm, newbie problem, I don't think the attachment went through?

I was in the advanced reply and did choose the file and saw it show up there. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for the help!

Black and white attachment

Sorry for my mistake; I think the scan was too large.
I rescanned as black and white and much smaller file size. Hope it goes through this time.

Ok, maybe this time?

JaycoEagle2018-bw.pdf

Well, nobody jumped in, so forgive me for trying again on my own ;-)

This time, I first uploaded the attachment to the forum using the paperclip icon in the advanced reply box.
Then, I added it in from the drop down on the paperclip.

Crossing my fingers that I got it right this time...

Well I hope this is not accurate as we ordered ours with the party sofa(we rarely eat inside so the dinette is useless to us). Other than that it sounds pretty good.

I'm glad I could finally share the new information sheets!

Does anyone have information on the new GVW or payloads?

Thanks in advance,

We ordered ours with the party sofa as well, for the same reason. If they're doing away with the option that's unfortunate as it was one of the major deciding factors in our purchase decision.

On the flip side, I'm glad we ordered when we did. It's due in this coming week.
