2018 jayco 293 RKDS Mattress issue

We picked up our trailer end of July. Our mattress have two deep impressions. It looks like we have slept on it twenty years. We have slept on it twenty days. Anyone else having issues. What to do......

Very common issue, mattress is junk. You might get a credit towards a new one. Otherwise throw it out and buy a good residential mattress.

Junk, I got them to warranty mine, unfortunately it was the same piece of crap that came with the camper, slept on it 3 times before that one wore out, went to sleepy's and bought a new one

How about flipping/rotating the mattress?

4" of memory foam on top of the stock mattress has done us well. It is a little pricey but much cheaper than an entirely new mattress. Good luck!

That's exactly what we did too. Makes a world of difference. We had the 4" topper in our travel trailer and now have it in our MH. Our MH's mattress has rounded corners at the foot and I used a sharp serrated knife to round the topper to match.

I should have mentioned that we purchased the memory foam at our local Camping World and that the foam came to fit the standard TT short queen mattress. Using standard queen bed linen and mattress pad will allow for plenty of extra room to cover, I think, up to 6" of foam. The comfort is second hand from the wife as I am banished to the bunk house... snoring.

An electric knife works wonders when cutting or shaping foam to size or shape.

We didn't have an electric knife and I was impatient 😜 so used a super sharp serrated steak knife. Lol. Got a nice clean straight cut. Had read the electric knife works really well too.

Thank You for posting this. Perhaps its been beat to death but us newbie's who are experiencing it, its nice to know what others are doing. Ours lasted 5 nights before the indentations actually hit the plywood base.
It's amazing how much crap Jayco uses in their RV's. Our Montana's mattress was still useable when we sold it 2 months ago. It provided us with a comfortable nights sleep for 6 years.
