2018 Seismic electric water heater

Good afternoon all, hoping everyone's travels are safe this weekend! Have a question about my electronic water heater. Just finished hauling around NC to skirt the Hurricane, and finally returned to base. After hooking back up, I noticed that the electric hot water heater button does not light up anymore, and there's some kind of fluid/electrical grease coming from around the switch. Haven't been hooked up long enough to test if the electric heater is making hot water. Checked the 2 fuses that I could guesstimate go to the heater, both checked good. Curious if anyone has input....all other lighted switches operate as designed.

Might be some grease from the switch itself, but you have to check further on this.
The switch might be defective but you have to test this or only the light is defective.

Problem solved (fingers crossed)...installed a new switch that I picked up from autozone and it worked....the light comes on anyway. Hoping that's the fix, will find out during tomorrow mornings shower!
