2019 27.5RL Eagle problems

Is anyone else having major problems with their fiver? Ours is 2 months old and we’ve already had the power inverter replaced, trim and drawer issues (loose and not lining up), DVD player doesn’t work, sinks not caulked, refrigerator slide leaks and needs new works, plus over 20 other issues. I think we got the first one off of the assembly line on January 2nd!

Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully you caught most of those during your PDI and had the dealer fix them before you started using it!

How do you catch a bad inverter, or leaks doing a pdi?

Did the dealer provide a prep sheet on what they found, fixed, and reported to Jayco?

You are allowed a copy.

I would call Jayco warranty dept.

By doing a test on the inverter during the PDI. Leaks would be more difficult but still do able with a garden hose. Should have a hose during the PDI to test all the plumbing and tanks.

Unfortunately none of this turned up before we used it. The inverter had a broken piece so a wire disconnected. This was ordered and replaced in Minnesota (we live in Florida) after many cold nights. They have fixed some of the issues and awaiting parts for the others. Jayco is going to make it right, but we can’t use the trailer until it’s fixed.

We just purchased ours a couple of weeks ago. Took it 20 miles from the dealer for the first night and have already discovered several problems that we did not catch. Our kitchen and bedroom slide seals under the slide out are not sealing and letting light and air in. Our living room slide has a gaping hole in the floor when closed where it appears the floor has been cut out wrong. The underbelly has multiple places where it is not sealed. Needless to say it was immediately returned to dealer the following day! They are supposed to be fixing these issues but I will be contacting Jayco today!!!
We did not do an independent PDI. In fact, had never heard of it. We will never make that mistake again. We are now considering have someone come and look at it before we take it home to see what else we missed!
We are so disappointed with the build quality and feel sick about this purchase. Just hoping all can be fixed satisfactorily and we can once again be “Happy Campers”! Wishing you the same!

There's something to be said for purchasing "dealer stock" when possible. Before purchase, one can examine the hell out of the unit before purchase and point out the defects before the sale. I realize this isn't always possible but you can check out a unit you may order and have notes as to what was wrong with the stock unit and compare to the one you order when it arrives.

We’re still waiting to be able to use ours again. They needed to order a bunch of parts like a whole new slide system for slide 2 which was totally shot after 2 months! We’re scheduled for September 11th so hopefully we’ll be able to enjoy it soon.

Yup..same with us! Purchased in February. Over 20 items. Got it back in July, and has to go back in this month. Extremely frustrated and unhappy. Making payments every month and can’t use it!

Let me say one other thing. My beef is the length of time it is getting taken care of. Jayco IS fixing everything. Just sayin!

Ours has been down for 2 months “waiting for parts”. We can’t use ours either because our large slide is totally fried! It should be done in the next 2 weeks though. Now the question becomes, “what is going to break next”?
