2019 American Traditional looks terrible

We have a 2019 Eagle HT 30.5MBOK on order so we’ve been stalking RV sites looking for pictures of the American Traditional Decor changes. Below are some links we’ve found. In my opinion, the two tone stain mixture of medium and dark stains looks terrible. I’m considering backing out of our order.

What are your thoughts?

I think the only vote that counts as to the aesthetic appearance of a trailer that you are considering buying is yours.

On first glance: I don’t get it.

Not sure why they would mix medium and dark woods like that within the same “spaces.”

However, maybe there is a logical tie to where the dark is being used and the medium is being used? Like dark in the dining area and medium in the living room area? Can’t really tell from the photos.

And this option for 2019 doesn't look any better, not sure what Jayco is thinking.

Looks like Jayco is going the direction Winnebago takes. Mix N Match. Usually Winnie just uses two wood tones. Jayco's using 3. Brown, Black and White. Yuk.

Fair point. I just wanted to see if I was on an island or if the consensus was that Jayco went awry.

I don't see any white mixed with the light/dark brown (maybe black) cabinets other than the counter tops. I like it but then my tastes are contemporary and I prefer the cleaner look being used. Raised panel doors are yesterday and I like the lack of extraneous details on the cabinets and slideout trims. Just need to get rid of the routed profile on the outside edge of the doors/drawers. I like that the window side trims are gone too. I'd take that look over what I have in my fiver.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the white (Modern Farmhouse) but it seems to flow. My concern is with American Traditional where it’s two different stains intermixed throughout. It’s a bad look. I could paint all the dark stain objects but it just feel wrong to buy a brand new camper and then painting.

Usually what dealers tell them customers are asking for.

Not sure about the light and dark woods together, but as far as the Modern Farmhouse with the white painted wood, I've seen lots of photos and youtube videos where people have painted their Jayco dark wood interiors white in recent years, so I see where they're getting the idea. My sticks and bricks house is on a farm, and I actually did paint my kitchen cabinets white, but I don't think I'm going there with my Northpoint.

The white in the bathroom doesn’t bother me. It’s the dark/medium mixture like these phots.

Hope the file attachments work...

If you have been in any new custom or semi-custom homes in recent years they are mostly going with similar looks. I expect it will look much better in real life than it does in the photos.

Yup, it's current kitchen design. Six years ago I redid the kitchen in our prior house and had medium brown cabinets along the wall with black in the large island. Not sure why they'd call it traditional though.

Personally I don't like the excessive detail in my fiver. It's like the woodworkers were given a box of routers bits and told to use as many as they could.

Wonder when we see the return of Harvest Gold or Avacado appliances in RV's

Or some green shag carpet in there... That would take your mind off the cabinet colors
