Lots of things affect fuel economy, your right foot being the biggest factor. After that headwinds because you're driving a big box down the road. I've gotten close to 17 if I keep it under 65 with favorable conditions but I have the 3.73 rear end. The 4.30's will hurt you just a little.

Back in May I did a ~2800 mile round trip with my '19 F-250 (see sig line) between the Seattle area and Chandler, AZ to visit my youngest daughter. I was lightly loaded and at the time had a Peragon aluminum tonneau over the bed. Overall for the trip it came in at 15mpg with the best tank being 16.8 coming north on US-93 through eastern Nevada at ~70-75mph. Worst tank was 13.3 due to headwinds going through south central Idaho.

I should also add that just around town it's more like ~11. The start/stop drags it down quickly. Plus I recently added a Leer Hi-Rise canopy which added a couple hundred pounds to the curb weight.

I typically see 15 to 15.5 mpg at 65mph on my 2017 F250. (See my signature). A little less during stop and go in town. I just returned from a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN pulling our 10,000 lb FW. I averaged 10.5 mpg for the round trip pulling between 60 and 65 mph. I currently have 24,000 miles on the truck.
