2020 Northpoint 375 slide awnings

Bought a 2020 North Point 375 BHFS from RV One in Myrtle Beach in October. Slide awnings were not included from the dealer. Dealer said they were not included as part of the build package and wanted $500 each for install labor. I laughed and declined which seemed to be a reoccurring occurrence while purchasing this rig. The model has the awning tracks preinstalled from the factory. Has anyone put awning on a newer North Point. Are there preinstalled plates on the slide exterior, or am I simply lining up the bracelets and popping screws?

Also, thoughts and types/brands of awnings? Ive heard it’s best to have 3-4” awning overhang over the slides?!?

We winter camp in Harlingen Texas area. A big time vendor in Donna that installs all types of shades and awing's quoted me $600 for the big slides and $400 for small slide. So your dealer is not to far off from after market install.

They are an easy install, put them on numerous rigs. Just be sure you follow the directions carefully and don't pull the spring cotter keys too soon or you will have a very hard time rewinding them. As to brand I much prefer CAREFREE with the metal shields.

Check online for the proper procedure when measuring before you order them too. If I remember correctly they want you to add a couple inches, but it's been a while.
