2020 pinnacle pin wts.

picked up new 2020 36ssws model with bed room slide in slide took to cat scale on way home from dealer
truck 17 ram 3500 drw gvw 14,000
steer axle 5200
rear axle 3800
trailer connected
steer 5300
rear 7380
trailer 11,620
pin 3580
gross combination 24,300
loaded trailer for first trip with all the things we think we need including a onan 5500 generator, I ordered trailer gen prepped and installed generator stopped and weighed again
steer 5320
rear 8200
trailer 11,940
pin now 4400 gen is 280 lbs.
gross combination 25,460
I apparently added 1,160 lbs. of cargo including gen. the rest in storage compartments and bed room totaling around 900 lbs. on the pin .The other 260 must be pots pans and cheerios and beer in the kitchen
what surprised me is the truck is about maxed out at 13,520 and looking at jayco web site I see all the pinnacle and north points have pin wts.between 3600 and 4,000 lbs which is barely inside DRW 14,000lb territory
My truck is a tradesman with aisin trans 4;10 gears and 30,000 towing but this 16,750 GVW trailer is maxing it out on payload and I assume a loaded Laramie with all the options would have less payload so I'm OK but jayco is pushing limits with these high pin weights ?
just wondered if anyone else noticed this I think these pin weights are up from 2019?
If I had washer dryer I could be overloaded?

Congrats on getting a Pinnacle those are nice for sure, now I was thinking that a drw have at least 5000 lbs of payload.

You must have a SRW as opposed to a dually.

Oh yeah, you're right so I guess that the A6 trany will be the one to get.

Congrats on the new rig thanks for the numbers. Ours weighs in within spec but I only have a guess on truck and pin, since we got the truck weight from a town dump visit without a lot of other cargo.

Joan found that when we get to Ecapees in FL this fall, we can make an appointment for custom weigh and analysis with a "Loadmaster" who can even get left and right weights. I think she said it was $55 and it sounds worth it to get an accurate and detailed read, with advice on how to adjust loads if needed.

We have the Gen Prep too but not the generator yet.
