2021 Eagle HT 27RS Ordered 7/8/20

I'm getting antsy. We ordered our 29RS 5 1/2 weeks ago. We're still waiting to get an ETA. I'm hoping to hear something this week. Anybody got an idea the time frame nowadays since Covid shut everybody down during peak manufacturing season. The dealer tells me 4 to 5 weeks once they get a VIN. I'm hoping to find out this week that it's going into production. Any insight is appreciated.

We just checked out a 2021 27 Rs at the Jayco HQ 2 days ago. Great changes- Raised the axles by putting spacers under the frame. It looks like they took some of the slope out of the front roof for headroom I guess, and removed the step-up in the bedroom. all of these changes raised the kingpin by 3 1/2" according to a Jayco guy I spoke to there. That will really help with the nose-up towing problem a lot of us have. Enjoy! They keep getting better!

Thanks for the reply. I found out the 16" tire option is still available so we were able to get that added. I am so anxious to get it home and start using it.

Awesome- I didn't want to mention the 16" tires, because I thought it would make you feel bad if it was too late.

On a lighter note Big1, your review of the Pullrite Superlite 2600 played a huge part in my decision to go that route. In fact, it's sitting in my garage waiting for something to hook up to.

Well I called Jayco today and got my answer. Not what I wanted to hear, but an answer none the less. Sometime mid October before we will see it so I will have to cancel 2 more trips. I was told since they had to shut down and now get production back, they are having a hard time rehiring many of their employees back. Apparently many are working for other manufacturers. The industry is also having supply chain issues along with increased demand has created the perfect storm. We knew this going in just felt it wouldn't be this bad. Oh well, it'll be here before we know it, I hope.

The industry is so dependent on other manufacturers to supply them components, that if one of them is backed way up due to the shutdowns, it affects all of the RV manufacturers in the same way. There could be 100 units ready to ship, but if water heaters toilets, or furnaces are on backorder, they sit on the sideline, waiting for production, then shipping, to catch up.

Ordered mine 3 weeks ago tomorrow and was told by Jayco it would be late November/ early December. Also they advised of delays/ shortages in supply chain. I’m antsy as well!

From one Charlestonian to another, Congrats on the new JayFeather 24BH. I will say the Jayco rep I spoke to yesterday hinted that most of the supply chain issues were behind them. Of course that goes hand in hand with the fact they are still not up to 100% production.

UPDATE!!! We finally got the call we've been waiting for yesterday. The VIN was assigned yesterday. Our 27RS estimated completion date is 11/6. The dealer said allow a week to get here (Charleston, SC) and then a day or two for PDI. So I expect middle of November.

Update

Another delay. Our completion date has been moved from today to 11/17. We may not be making our annual Thanksgiving weekend trip. Hopefully this will be the last delay.

Hopefully you get yours in time!

(Sad part about all this waiting is, I’ve bought a ton of stuff prepping for the first trip. Probably spent more than I needed to....just super excited.... but it looks like it will be after the first of the year since I’ve not received a VIN yet.)

Wow, I'm sorry for just seeing your post but thank you, I try to give my best honest review since I had two already and I have found this work great.

The Eagle has landed!!!

Finally!!! Our Eagle HT 27RS arrived at the dealership today. We went over to have a look and man are we happy with our choice in floor plan. We plan to pick her up Tuesday, December 8th, which is exactly 5 months to the day our order was placed.
