On my 2021 Pinnacle select heat from the "mode" button, then the "select heat mode" button lights up. select it, and I get a menu offering heat pump , furnace or both.

Thank you for that! Now my question is this! Do they both run on shore power and if using generator?

If I understand you correctly, the heat pump will need AC power source, be it shore power or generator to operate. I have yet to use the furnace, lol. I guess I should try it, but the furnace Unless I am mistaken runs on DC power to run the blower fan and LP gas to generate heat. If boondocking you might want a power source to recharge your batteries after a while, that could be the generator or solar

Thanks so much for all the info. We’re in SWFL, so heat isn’t needed frequently but do still need it. We’re headed to a place called Chiefland, Fl and the temperatures during the winter are 15 deg less then here. I’ll be checking out the system soon. Not yet though, it’s going up to 92 today. Take care
