2022 317RLOK slide issue

2022 RLOK, I just went to pull the slides in and slide 2 (theater & kitchen) only wants to retract about 5-8 inches on the theater side and the refrigerator side won’t do anything. Doesn’t even try to retract. Any suggestions that I can try before my husband sets the whole thing on🔥 because he is furious that I bought this piece of junk. 😞 help? I’m supposed to take it to our seasonal site tmr at 10am.

Do a search. It is really a common issue. I think the owners manuel will tell you to bring it in 6" and back out 4 or 5 times. The other way to fix it is with the controler in your left side basement. Like I said do a search and you will find the solution

Assuming you have the Schwintek slide mechanism, the first step is to do some YouTube research to learn how to read the codes on the controller. Once you locate the controller and read the blinking lights telling you what it thinks is wrong, go form there. If you have not been hearing any strange noises, it is likely an electrical issue, which can be as simple as a loose connection. These systems are not fun to work on, but once you understand how they work they are relatively simple. A good resource on YouTube is My RV Works (myrvworks.com) and you will find an excellent resource for almost everything RV.

My Montana did the same thing and has the Schwintek slide that was behaving identical to yours. My code was 2 green blinks and 8 red blinks. Short between motor and controller. To get it in, you have to pop the motors up, slide the room in by hand then replace the motors. You should be able to get to the motors without taking the rubber strip off. Just pry it back to get access.
