27.5RLTS Fireplace for heat?

We have a 2017 27.5RLTS that came with the fireplace. When we're hooked up we'd like to use it for some heat, but even with the thermostat set around 68-70 it will only run for a few minutes until shutting off the heat, even if it's only 60-65 degrees. After about 10 minutes it comes back on, and repeats. The fake flame lights stay on. Is this normal operation, or is their something I'm missing?

(I searched back about a month and didn't see any threads about this.)

The thermostat has never worked satisfactorily on mine. I just turn it on wide open and off when it's to warm.. I need to contact Dimplex.

I had someone ask how much gas did it use. LOL

Try unplugging from wall for a minute. I had a similar Robles and it solved my issue.

Not sure what it could be. We have one in our 28.5 HT and used it in December. Had it set between 68 & 70 and it worked very well.

What is the brand? I don't think they use Dimplex anymore.

I would go to the mfg's website and do some reading in the troubleshooting section.

Thermostat

Maybe the location or design but the thermostat has very little to do with the room temp - try raising the temp and experiment until you get somewhat satisfactory results & maybe a small fan to help circulate the warm air away from the fireplace
