29.5 BHDS 16" Wheel Upgrade
We put a down payment on a 2015 29.5 BHDS, is there any way to upgrade the wheels to 16" and not have issues? The trailer is on the lot, therefore it is not something I can order. We would prefer to have the trailer sooner.
I will be towing it behind a 2500 Ram Lariat (Cummins). Wanted the little extra height and should be better for longer trips.
If you know first hand if it can be done and how, please let me know. Would also like to know bolt pattern and options in the event i have to order the parts myself.
Thoughts?

I placed my order for my 2012 Eagle Superlite 30.5 fiver with 16 in. wheels, it normally came with 15 in wheels. Don't know how the dealer placed the order with jayco but it came with 16 in wheels, but the sticker on the unit shows 15in. tires.
The dealer may have done the swap once the unit arrived. I had also ordered a topper on the slide and that was done at the dealer's location.

I've been looking into swapping mine over to 16s and LT235 tires. Its an option now on the 2016s.
My 14 has enough room. The tires are roughly 3" bigger, so about an 1.5" bigger all the way around than the factory chinabombs.
The bolt pattern on mine is 6×5.5. Quite a few 16" wheel options out there.
I will probably be swapping mine over at some point. I plan on keeping it awhile. The LT235 85 16E tires are rated for almost 1000lbs more per tire than the ST225 75 15D tires that come on them. We run the same tires on our epuipment trailers, so I know how the LT tires hold up compared to the ST tires. It wont be a real cheep upgrade, but it will be worth it to me on the long haul.

When I ordered my 31.5 FBHS, 16'' wheels were a option I chose.

Be sure and look at the "offset" on any new rims you are considering. I remember reading that they should have zero offset.

Norty is correct on the 0 offset.
On Sendel's website, they list the bolt pattern, offset, and max psi and weight.
Im not sure if Jayco uses a 8 lug pattern on the 16" wheel option, but the wheels that came on my Eagle isn't available in a 16" 6 lug patten. The 15" are 6 lug, and the 16" are 8 lug. They did offer some 16" aluminum 6 lug wheels to fit my trailer, but they weren't the factory style.

Someone posted that on 2016 if you do 16" upgrade it also includes a heavier duty axle.

Just wanted to update my post from above.
After some close measuring, the lt235 85 16s may be a bit of a tight fit....i believe they will fit and work fine with a little modification to the inside of the fender wells....or add a small block between the axle and spring.
lt225 75 16 are a better fit size wise...they are only a fuzz bigger than the factory st225 75 15s. Only thing, the lt225 75 16 load capacity is quite a bit lower than the lt235 85 16 load capacity, both being E rated.
I've ordered my 16" wheels. Not positive yet, but I may just stick with the LT225 75 16 E tires due to the size issue. They wont have the load capacity of the LT235 85 16s, but they will fit better with out mods and still be a big upgrade over the factory ST225 75 15 blowmax tires.

The 235/80-r16 is comparable to the lt235/85r16 in size, but they are all ST rated in that size. Not saying they dont work, but after 13+ years of pulling trailers and heavy equipment around East Tennessee, Im still not a fan of ST tires. Thats just me though....
