29.5 BHDS & RV Lock

Evening gents, I have a 2021 29.5BHDS. I put the v4 RV locks off my old trailer on it when we bought it, everything fit great. I do notice I have to push a little harder than I did on my 2019 jay flight, I think it's my friction hinges but I wanted to know if I was missing something in the setup. I think I need to do something different with my sticker plate, either file it or bend it some to release a little of the tension.

I had to do a bit of massaging to the door frame itself to make it easier to close the door. A hammer and wood block did the trick. The door was hitting the frame from the factory. I think I also put some lube on the friction hinge. There are several posts about that.

I still have the stock door latches on my '21 357MDOK, but my door is hard to close as well. Every time I open and close the door I have to open the handle to get it to clear the strike/catch properly. I couldn't see much adjustment other than trying to flatten out the door strike/catch. Very little clearance between the door and the frame if you ask me. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I guess I'll see if I can "massage" it a little bit.

2021 29.5 BHDS here, too. Same issue. Latch plate was already adjusted as far as it could be from the factory. I thought I was going to rip the interior door handle off at times. I loosened every piece of door hardware (hinges, locks, latch plate, etc.), biased them towards the direction that would make closing the door easier, and then tightened everything back down. I also took apart the latch mechanism, cleaned it, and lubed it. All of those things together made it so the door closes somewhat normally. It is still a little on the hard side though.
