29.5 BHOK Ride Height Ram 2500

Just picked up my '17 29.5 BHOK and had them install a Pullrite Superglide. Thoughts on ride height of the front of the trailer? I know it's not great to tow other than level but wondering how concerned I should be given it definitely sits higher on the front. Unfortunately there aren't any other options with my current setup given that the pullrite isn't adjustable up and down.Right now clearance from trailer to bed rails is around 6 inches.

Don't have measurements yet you can just tell that it's not perfectly level. I just wanted some more opinions outside of the dealer saying it was fine. In looking over some other posts about ride height it doesn't look any worse than some of them.

Heck mine looks worse than that, same trailer, 2009 Dodge 2500.

Might be cause I have Timbrens on mine so it doesn't sag as much when the load is on it.

Pull onto flat level surface (which is extremely hard to find) or a service bay. Measure from the bottom of the trailer frame to the surface at the front and rear. That will tell you how many inches you're off by. Once you know this, you will than know what options you have to pick from.

You definitely don't want to lessen the bed to trailer gap.

Same situation here with a 2015 Eagle HT 29.5BHDS and a 2017 RAM 2500. Ended up upgrading to 16" tires dans wheels which gave me a 1.25" of raise and a local shop used the last hole of the suspension brackets while reinforcing them as well as adding C channels to make sure no torsion would occur. I'm pretty sure this voids any warranty but mine was expired.

One thing I did beforehand was to put some wood under the wheels to see how much lift I needed exactly. As it turns out 3" was all I needed and the unit is now verrrrry close to towing perfectly level.

Tailgate

Picking up our 291rsts and Ram 3500 in July. Also will have Pullrite Superslide.
Do you need to remove tailgate for this combination?

I'm going to see how it plays out with the current setup, but it definitely rides nose up.

Cathy, I did not have to remove my tailgate with the 2500 and the pullrite. It actually doesn't take up as much room in the bed as i thought it would.

Ferrit, you had to put a 4" lift on the trailer?

Don't worry about it. If you are concerned about tire wear then when you redo bearings, just rotate your tires front to back. Mine is worse than yours. 4 inches higher in the front.

Thanks! The wheels and tires look look a little goofy like they are way too small now. I'm going to a little bit bigger higher rating set next in a year or so.

Took it out for its maiden voyage this weekend, towed great, you can definitely feel the weight back there when compared to my tent trailer. I was going through some windy as hell curves and it's pretty amazing how well it tracks.

I did some measurements in the cul de sac, pretty flat and it looks like i'm about six inches difference in height front to back.

There is one more position up for the springs, so that might get me an inch or so and then eventually i'll buy some 16" wheels/tires, but after just buying it I'm a little strapped for cash.

I also did a little before and after hitching on the wheel well height on the front and back and it only went down about an inch on the rear and stayed the same on the front. I'm wondering if i tried to load more in the front of the trailer if that would help the ride height a bit as well. The problem is going to be finding more stuff to throw towards the front of the trailer as i already have all the heavy stuff there.

Before you load down the front check and see what your weight is. Better to have the extra suspension clearance.

I am a bit surprised since ours dropped a good 4" when the trailer was hooked up (with stock suspension). Do you have the air suspension on your truck?

Yep, stock suspension. Maybe i didn't measure right? Ground was a bit uneven, but not 3 inches uneven. I measured from the ground to to the top of the outside body of the wheel well.
