2nd - 3rd Battery install

Just got the North Point 381 DLQS last month. It has the residential style fridge and a 1,000 watt inverter.

Although I purchased at a very reasonable price I had paid for a battery above and beyond the cost of the RV. Which I've found out it was twice as much for the same battery at the battery store. If the Frigidaire manufacture suggest two batteries why wouldn't you double charge me and install too?

Question:

1) I understand dual batteries need to be like batteries, no problem. However while camping do I stay connected to shore power and remove the single battery and install two new one. Do I need to turn the battery disconnect and remove the battery? Do I need to disconnect shore power and the battery disconnect? I have the diagram to connect dual batteries.

2) The North Point 381 DLQS - I found out what the DL (dual laboratories) means. Need a clue on the QS.

Just unhook the battery (Negative side 1st & don't let cables touch). Install new battery(ies). If multiple make sure you wire correctly.

Anything you buy at an RV dealer is twice the price, because the sell to RV owners.
The local jobbers or the box stores are always cheaper.
Dual or triple Battery hookups will perform better and last longer when they come from the same production series.
