2nd A/C confusion

I'm the proud owner of the Eagle HT 27.5. I'm looking at getting a 2nd AC in the bedroom. The 2nd prep is ducted to the rest of the race track. My question is I only see the prep as a piece of Romex terminating at a box ( I do not see any low voltage thermostat type cables), is this romex controlled by the thermostat and will kick on the unit with the other or is this a direct wire from the braker making this only be a manual controlled unit? Should I look at getting a face plate with controls or should i get the plain one, as this unit will be controlled by the thermostat in the other part of the coach?

Thanks in advance!

I would dig around more. There should be a cable there. Mine terminated near the light switch for the bedroom. I have. 29.5BHDS.

I would say it’s prepped for a manual unit with the A/C controls actually on the A/C unit.

My JayFlight 28BHBE was ordered from the factory with 2 A/C units and that’s how mine came. The bedroom A/C did not tie into the thermostat. Being that we rarely used it, it wasn’t a big deal to reach up and turn it on or off when we wanted to. We mostly only used it while setting up to get the initial cooling of the trailer done quicker.

Our Eagle had the thermostat wire strung from near the light switch to overhead by the ceiling vent hole where you put the A/C. I would dig around more on the wall side

Not the case on later units. Later units have the bedroom joined into the existing duct work and its own wall thermostat. Just depends on the OP year. Since it's joins the existing ducts, I should be new enough to have factory installed thermostat wiring. Normally tucked in the opening and the other end in the wall by the bedroom light switch.
