30amp with a 377

Planning a trip to Cape Canaveral, Fl area at end of March. Unfortunately finding that I'm a little late in making reservations, or maybe a little early if you consider that snowbirds have not yet headed back north at that time.

Anyway, only place I could find with availability can't guarantee me 50amp service. If I'm limited to 30amp, what can I reasonably expect to run in a 377? One AC and fridge (residential)? Microwave, too?

I have a couple Honda EU2000 generators that can be coupled, but I assume there's no easy way to split off the second AC to be run directly...

I've been on 30 amp several times with our 377. You'll be able to run everything for the most part, but not both a/c units. Just be mindful of you electric usage and you'll be fine. I've run 1 a/c, coffee maker, residential fridge, mini fridge (outside), charging phones, etc...all at the same time.

Cool. How well does the main coach AC work to cool the master bedroom if you leave the door open? I assume some stand alone fans may be necessary to circulate air...

On 30 amp you’ll be fine running everything except the second AC. If you do the mod to the ceiling vents, you should be fine with only one AC

What we typically do is run the main a/c during the day and at night I switch over to the bedroom a/c. Mainly because the DW likes the noice. Neither of the kiddos complain about being too warm at night either.

In March you shouldn't have to run 2 Ac's. May want to run the heat tape fireplace or the furnace in the morning to get the chill out. Just watch your power usage like turn off the fireplace if you run the microwave ect.

Hello there,
I have a 50a 5ther also and sometimes I have to park into a 30a spot. Just use one a/c at a time. I use my main a/c during the day then when it's bedtime, I turn my main a/c off and switch my bedroom a/c on. I've had no issues doing this. Good luck with your camping.
Chris

May want to use propane for your hot water heater, rather than electric.

Take a look at the Mods to 377 thread. There’s a sticky in the fifth wheel section for an index of all the mods.
